Training in professional counselling supervision in 2013, I am a member of the ACA College of Supervisors. I offer supervision to other counsellors, health care providers and members of the public who require it for their work.
Applying person centered principles to professional counselling supervision, I believe each person needs to be listened to carefully and ‘held’ safely in order to feel secure enough to explore the deeper issues of their counselling practice. By investing in the wellbeing of each individual supervision client I invite them to learn and extend their understanding of counselling. This allows each supervisee to bring their whole self to supervision, to deal with their own issues as well as their client issues. This then allows them to catch any transference or counter transference as it arises in a counselling session.
“Wen has been my supervisor for approximately 7 years and for the past year and a half we have conducted supervision via Skype. Reason being I relocated from the NSW Central Coast to the Gold Coast of QLD. Supervision with Wen combines my work with clients, managing my caseload, addressing any ethical and legal concerns, client welfare, and my own self-care. Wen further supported me in my role as a counselling educator and for the past year in creating a program for couples as part of a retreat facility in Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu.
This is an exciting venture.
With Wen’s creativity, insight and extensive professional knowledge on retreat programs I have no doubt it will be successful. The work needs focus, detailed attention and meticulous guidance. All this is done via Skype at this time and I am deeply grateful her professionalism extends via this medium.”

“I have had the pleasure of Wen as my Supervisor via Skype for a number of years now. My experience has been nothing but positive from day one. I have found that working via Skype has not hindered our interactions. Wen provides an environment that is non-judgemental and supportive. As a result of her vast experience, and a testament to her personality, Wen provides encouragement, empowerment, support and guidance. I am always very grateful to have her. Thank you Wen!”
